On September 28, 2025, from 2–5 pm,
the Madison Baptist Association (MBA) held its Annual Meeting at CrossPointe Church under the theme “No Turning Back.”
Pastors and members from Huntsville and Madison gathered to worship together, pray for church planting and cooperative missions, and reflect on the direction in which our association is moving forward in God’s grace.

The gathering opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Robert Mullins, Director of the Madison Baptist Association, followed by greetings from Mrs. Karen Gosselin of the Alabama State Board of Missions (ALSBOM). Dr. Joel Carwile, pastor of CrossPointe Church, who graciously hosted this gathering, led the opening prayer.
The CrossPointe Church worship team then led the congregation in the hymn “How Great Thou Art,” creating a powerful time of praise. The MBA business session followed, accompanied by congregational singing that lifted hearts in unity to the Lord.
A key moment came when Dr. Bobby Gordon introduced new church plants and new member churches, including The Blessing Church, and the congregation joined together in a prayer of blessing.

Special highlights included a RePlant video presentation by Pastors Tim Milner, Jarman Leatherwood, and Zach Carter, as well as an update on the upcoming Eagle’s Landing Retreat (Macoba) from Dr. Jon Hathcock.

A panel discussion, hosted by Dr. Jeremy Gates (Cave Spring BC), featured valuable insights from Dr. Kevin Moore (Mt. Zion BC), Dr. Jeff Smith (Hillwood BC), Dr. Willie Hinton (West Mastin Lake BC), and Dr. Mike Hulsey (Farley Community). Another moving moment came through the Church Adoption video presented by Tim Milner and Terrell Boyd, which highlighted the unity of churches and the birth of new ministries.

In the closing session, Dr. Robert Mullins cast a vision for 2026 and preached a challenging message under the theme “No Turning Back.” His message inspired pastors and members alike to keep pressing forward for the sake of God’s kingdom.

The service concluded with the CrossPointe Church worship team leading in the song “Yet Not I, But Christ,” bringing the meeting to a grace-filled and uplifting conclusion.

This gathering was a powerful reminder of the unity of pastors and churches across Huntsville and Madison, exalting God together. It was also a time of encouragement and renewal as we move forward as one body to advance the gospel with a great vision for God’s kingdom. We give thanks to God for allowing us to experience such a blessed and grace-filled day.
