We thus explore how the church must fulfill its missional calling across all eras and geographical contexts.\n\n

The primary emphasis is to rediscover the missional essence\u2014the \u2018cardiac DNA\u2019 of the church\u2014through the theology and practice of these two giants, thereby establishing a clear direction for the contemporary church seeking spiritual guidance.\n\n

We propose that the realization of Christ\u2019s Great Commission is attained through the concrete practice of the threefold office of Christ (Prophet, Priest, and King) within the world, calling every believer to live as a \u2018missionary within the world.\u2019\n\n

This book advocates for a transition to the missional church through the \u2018integration of the Evangelical and Ecumenical camps.\u2019 We uphold the necessity of inheriting the purity of the gospel and the centrality of passionate soul winning (Spurgeon), which is essential for preserving the core message of the gospel.\n\n

Newbigin's insights challenge the church to engage in dialogue with the world, contextually interpret the gospel, and fulfill its missional calling in unity across denominational lines. This provides the broad perspective and inclusiveness necessary for the church to communicate with and influence the world. We affirm that these two camps mutually complement their biblical strengths to fully restore the church's missional essence.\n\n

Thus, when the Evangelical depth of believing in and passionately proclaiming the power of the gospel is integrated with the Ecumenical breadth of an open heart and a spirit of unity toward the world, the church can fully embody its role as a \u2018missionary within the world\u2019 and achieve the balanced realization of ecclesiology.

This integration casts a vision for the church to be reborn today\u2014not as an isolated religious group, but as a dynamic missional community that serves as the hope of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
